This is a non-smoking property. Smoking is forbidden in the cabins and is only allowed outdoors. Please use ashtrays provided (located on the deck area). We are surrounded by forest and brush so throwing cigarettes on the ground is forbidden and punishable by law if a fire occurs.

Pets: No pets are permitted on the property unless prior approval has been given. A $500 fine can be enforced and charged against the credit card you provide in the case pets are being brought without approval.

Damage Deposit: A credit card pre-authorization of $500 will be held for damage deposit. This will be removed once the unit has been gone through and inspected after check out to make sure no items are missing and no damage has been done to the unit beyond normal wear and tear.

Cancellations: A 30 day notice is required for cancellation. A 50% refund for cancellations before 30 days and 100% refund for cancellations before 60 days. (may vary through Air BnB  or VRBO booking). Refunds will not be made to tenants leaving earlier than scheduled departure date.

House Keeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. All beds will be made with clean linens and extra clean linens are included in the unit, however maid service is not. A set of shower towels, hand towels and face clothes are included as well as 4 beach towels per unit. Please make sure all beach towels for your unit are accounted for upon check out to avoid a $15/towel charge.

What else to expect in the units: Blankets and pillows for each sleeping area. Bathroom will also have hand soap and 2 rolls of toilet paper. The kitchen includes dish clothes and tea towels, as well as dish soap and a bucket of cleaning supplies. A broom and a mop. The kitchen is fully stocked with all cooking and eating supplies, including coffee maker, toaster, and microwave. There are basic spices, tin foil and saran wrap. Extra garbage and recycling bags. Coffee, sugar and a powdered creamer.

Each unit has its own washer and dryer (except for The Lookout, and The Studio which will Share the outside access laundry located next to The Studio). Laundry soap and bounce sheets are provided.

Each unit has its own private deck with a patio table and a BBQ. One full propane tank is provided, it is your responsibility to refill or top up upon check out. A $50 fee will be withheld from your damage deposit if you fail to comply. Unless you are in the new units up top are plumbed in with gas.

Fires are permitted at designated fire pit areas on the property and the beach. Please be sure to comply with any local fire bans or restrictions. Please check www.env.gov.bc.ca for current restrictions.

The units are equipped with wireless internet and cable TV. A DVD and remotes are supplied, there will be a $60 charge for any lost or broken remotes. Blue tooth speaker in each unit.

Parking: There is parking space for 1 vehicle per unit except for The Landing, there is space for 2 vehicles. Arrangements can be made to reserve spaces in the overflow parking spots, as well for storage of boat trailers during your stay. Arrangements need to be made prior to your arrival.

Dock and Beach: There is a private dock for our guest’s use, however this is not to be used as a buoy to tie up your boat. Three buoys are provided for use during your stay on a first come first serve basis based on the time of your booking reservation. There is also nearby marinas to moore your boat if need be. The beach is equipped with picnic tables, and fire pit.

Good Neighbor Policy: The property is shared by 9 separate units as well as surrounded by neighboring property owners. Please respect the neighborhood in regards to noise level. Outdoor noise should be minimum after 10:00 pm. There is a  common hot tub area and fire pit located on the upper portion of the property, please respect surrounding units when using.

Blind Bay Hideaway Ltd. is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. Blind Bay Hideaway Ltd. is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guests. Use of the dock and water trampoline are at your own risk. Blind Bay Hideaway Ltd. (and owner of the property) accept NO responsibility for any injuries sustained while using these amenities. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite on the premises. Signage is visible to cars to slow down for crossing the road, but please use caution and attend children while crossing.

Check Out: Upon check out all garbage is to be placed into the big garbage bin outside and recycling into the recycling containers. All dishes should be washed and put away. Please strip beds of linens and place in laundry area along with dirty towels. A general sweep and wipe of the unit.

Upon Arrival: You will be provided with a digital code for a lock box located to the left of the door containing a key for your unit prior to your arrival. There is no care taker on site, however if you have any questions or concerns upon your arrival or during your stay please call either Victoria (250) 253-5600 or Brad (250) 833-6680.

From Alberta:

- Follow the Trans Canada Highway through Salmon Arm

- Continue until you reach Balmoral Rd. approximately 26 km from Salmon Arm, turn         right at the Balmoral Gas Station.

- Follow that approximately 3km. You will pass Shell Station and Blind Bay junction with Blind Bay Rd. to the left.

- Continue on Balmoral Rd. which turns into Eagle Bay Rd. at this junction.

- We are approximately 3 km from the Shell Station on the right hand side. Look for our Blind Bay Hideaway sign.

 

From Vancouver and Kamloops:

- Take the Coquihalla Hwy or Trans Canada Highway to Kamloops

- Follow TCH East past Chase and through Sorrento

- Continue Past Shuswap Lake Estates golf course

- The next intersection is Balmoral Rd at Balmoral Gas Station

- Turn left on Balmoral Rd. and follow for about 3 km. You will pass the Shell Station and Blind Bay junction with Blind Bay Rd. to the left

- Continue on Balmoral Rd. which turns into Eagle Bay Rd.

- We are approximately 1Km from the Shell Station. Look for our Blind Bay Hideaway sign.
